Diagnosis:Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis due to Trauma.

1Condition & History

Chief Complaint: Unbearable waist pain after lifting heavy objects. Unable to walk normally or sleep.

Acute onset. Hospital massage therapy provided little relief.

TCM Signs (Four Examinations)

  • Tongue:Normal red
  • Pulse:Wiry (弦)

2Diagnosis & Treatment

Diagnosis: Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis due to Trauma.

Treatment Principle: Activate Blood, Dissolve Stasis, Stop Pain.

Prescribed Method

External application immediately after injury.

Duration: 3 days

3Outcome & Analysis

Pain reduced by 70% on the first day, allowing sleep. By day 2, pain was mostly gone. By day 3, patient walked freely.

For acute sprains, early intervention with blood-activating herbs prevents the formation of chronic stasis.
